The Art of Sherry Cask Finishing
THE WHISKY THAT
captivated A KING
From a captain’s pioneering spirit to a king’s first unforgettable sip, experience the whisky that changed history.
Our multi-award-winning Malt Master, Stephanie Macleod, hand-selects the finest first-fill sherry casks – each age statement paired with a distinct, complementary sherry profile – to impart a depth of flavour that transforms our whisky into something truly remarkable.
A commitment to mastery that continues the legacy of our founder’s relentless pursuit of excellence.
Captain William Fraser overcame every barrier in his quest to craft a whisky of extraordinary character.
His commitment to quality helped to stamp out illicit distillation and pave the way for highland distillers of repute. Among the early whisky makers to ship direct to London, and the first to do so with the King’s permission, his pioneering spirit lives on in every drop.
In 1833, Captain William Fraser’s bold ambition was rewarded with royal recognition.
When his whisky was first presented to King William IV, it so stirred the King’s senses – the enticing aroma, the velvety texture, the symphony of rich flavours – that he bestowed upon it the first Royal Warrant ever awarded to a Scotch whisky.
